William ‘Bill’ C. Haley

CAMDEN — William ‘Bill’ C. Haley, 74,
passed away August 1, 2013, at his home with his family at his side.
He was born January 25, 1939, a son of Lauren C. and Catherine T. Plunkett Haley, in Rome, NY.
After high school graduation Bill proudly served in U.S. Marines.
He was united in marriage for fifty years to the former Sara "Sally" O’Connor
on June 29, 1963, in St. Peter’s Church, Rome, NY.
Bill and Sally spent their lives together in Rome and Camden.
Bill was a carpenter and was employed for Dixon Builders.

- the Camden Marine Corps League,
- American Legion Post #66,
- Shit Birds Club,

Camden Rod and Gun Club,
- and St. John the Evangelist Church, Camden, NY

Bill is survived by
- his beloved wife, "Sally";
- two sisters, Mary "Weegie" Pickard and Catherine T. Morgan;
- a brother, Timothy Haley, all of Camden;
- mother-in-law, Betty Riegler;
- three sisters-in-law,
- Joan and Jim Dunn,
- Colleen and Mike Dunn,
- Bettymary and Ken Sutton;

brother-in-law, John and Darlene O’Connor;
- several nieces and nephews;
- and his canine companion "Brandy."

He was predeceased by
- an infant daughter in 1965;
- a brother, Lauren "Luke" Haley;
- and a brother-in-law, Robert A. Pickard.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2013, at St. John’s Cemetery, Camden, with interment to follow.
Calling hours are from 3-6 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2013, at the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main Street, Camden, NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to Hospice or the Camden American Legion Post #66.
