ONEIDA - Terry G. York, 82, of 429 Sconondoa St.,
died Saturday evening, Oct. 20, 2007, at his residence, following a long illness. 

He was born Oct. 30, 1924 in Eltmire, 
a son of Floyd and Anna Mae Grogan York. 

On April 17, 1948, he was united in marriage to Ereine Mulvaney. 
Ereine died on Oct. 27, 1977. 

He then married Rose Weaver on Nov. 10, 1979. 
Rose died on May 8, 2006. 

Mr. York had been employed in retail having worked for 
the former Grand Union and W.T. Grant's stores in Oneida. 

He was a veteran of World War II, 
having served with the United States Navy as a Gunner's Mate Class 3, 
serving in both the European and Pacific theaters. 
He was awarded the Purple Heart and was a member of the DAV in Rome.

 He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. 

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, 
Michael and Elaine York of Benton City, Wash., 
James and Janice York of Durhamville and 
Daniel and Nancy York of Fayetteville; 

one daughter, Laurie York 
and her fiancee, Michael Wyant of Oneida; 

three step-sons, 
Lee Weaver of Oneida, 
Scott Weaver of Sylvan Beach and 
Roger Weaver of Oneida; 

three step-daughters and two step-sons-in-law, 
Susan and Mark Boucher of DeRidder, La., 
Judy and Tony Corigliano of Oneida and 
Linda Weaver of Oneida; 

nine grandchildren, Nova, Nicholas, Mathew, Margaret, Daniel, Jennifer, Christopher, Kaitlyn and Ryan; 

eight great-grandchildren, Autumn, Lillian, Logan, Madison, Daisy Hope, Marissa, Kristin and Brandon. 

He was predeceased by one brother, Howard York 
and two sisters, Ella Mae York and Betty Page. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m. from the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 
322 Washington Ave., Oneida and 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Oneida, 
where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Edmund Castronovo. 

Interment will be made in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Oneida. 
Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
