<br><br>Robin Lynn Maker, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter
<br><br>
CUBA - Robin Lynn Maker, 61, of 5660 Smith Road, Cuba, passed away Friday (Aug. 26, 2022) at Olean General Hospital, after a short illness.
<br>
<br>Born on Jan. 3, 1961, in Cuba, she was a daughter of Gerald F. Washburn and Marjorie Goldthwait Rix. On Sept. 12, 2015, she married Joseph M. Maker, who survives.
<br>
<br>Robin was a graduate of Cuba Central School. In 1984, she graduated from Alfred University, where she studied to become a registered nurse.
<br>
<br>She began her nursing career at the Medical College of Georgia, working in its Kidney Transplant and Chemotherapy units. 
<br>When she returned to the area, she worked for Bradford Regional Medical Center; the Nunda Cancer Center; 
<br>Jones Memorial Hospital Cancer Center; and in Olean for Dr. Soni. 
<br>She was currently employed at Cuba Memorial Hospital in the Medical Care Unit.
<br>
<br>Robin was a member of the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 of Cuba, <br />
loved vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., baking cooking with her grandson, camping and playing cards.
<br>

In addition to her husband, Joe, 
</li><li>she is survived by her mother and stepfather, Marjorie (Joseph) Rix of Cuba;
</li><li> four children, 
</li><ol><li>Michele (Richard) Wright of Pike, 
</li><li>Amber Finley of Rochester, 
</li><li>Haley Guiney of Cuba and
</li><li> Marina Guiney of Olean; 
</li></ol><li>seven grandchildren;
</li><li>two brothers, 
</li><ol><li>Thomas (Heidi) Washburn of Colorado; and 
</li><li>Kevin Washburn.
</li></ol></ul>

<br>She was predeceased by her father.
<br>
<br>Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 1, 2022) at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, at which time a funeral service will be held.
<br>
