Robin Lynn Maker, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter

CUBA - Robin Lynn Maker, 61, of 5660 Smith Road, Cuba, passed away Friday (Aug. 26, 2022) at Olean General Hospital, after a short illness.

Born on Jan. 3, 1961, in Cuba, she was a daughter of Gerald F. Washburn and Marjorie Goldthwait Rix. On Sept. 12, 2015, she married Joseph M. Maker, who survives.

Robin was a graduate of Cuba Central School. In 1984, she graduated from Alfred University, where she studied to become a registered nurse.

She began her nursing career at the Medical College of Georgia, working in its Kidney Transplant and Chemotherapy units.
When she returned to the area, she worked for Bradford Regional Medical Center; the Nunda Cancer Center;
Jones Memorial Hospital Cancer Center; and in Olean for Dr. Soni.
She was currently employed at Cuba Memorial Hospital in the Medical Care Unit.

Robin was a member of the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 of Cuba,
loved vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., baking cooking with her grandson, camping and playing cards.



She was predeceased by her father.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 1, 2022) at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, at which time a funeral service will be held.
